Forensic Handwriting & Document Examination Workshop: Current Trends & Problems 7-9 September 2011

Staffordshire University’s Forensic and Crime Science Department is organising an International Workshop on Forensic Handwriting & Document Examination to be held at Staffordshire University (Stoke-on-Trent Campus) on 7-9 September 2011. This will provide an opportunity for Trained Professionals, Academics and Researchers in Questioned Documents to improve their understanding of current issues in document examination and to receive training on specific fields of the science.


The workshop will be delivered by Mike Allen, Dr. Bryan Found, Dr. Jur. Dr. Habil. Manfred Hecker, Nikolaos Kalantzis FSSoc Dip and Dr. Andy Platt.

The workshop will cover the following topics :

Blind Testing (self assessed), Development of Handwriting in Children, Error Rates, Forgery & Disguise, Methodological Rules, Models of Handwriting Production, Psychophysiology of Handwriting Production, Raman Spectroscopy application in ink comparison, Problems & interference in Raman Spectrocopy, Signing Behaviour.

The cost of participation is allocated to £450 GBP.
